COVID-19

Well!

This is where we are at!

We’ve been at home - quarantined for a month now. Officially paused.

We were very uncertain in the beginning as to whether we were considered an essential service or not. We reached out to many official bodies including our insurer, lawyer, professional organizations and government. It took a very long time for all of the above bodies to make a decision on whether we read through the lines of what’s considered essential when it comes to paragraph 20 in the provincial governments release of essential services. Across the board - it has been concluded that our entire industry with the nurseries association being the exception, is non- essential.

We are frustrated and we are continuing to fight for an opportunity to go back to work in what I would consider one if not the least risky maintenance types businesses there is.

Our next hurdle would be to find and purchase the appropriate PPE once we are allowed to go back to work. Some of which is very hard to come by at the moment - as its being forwarded, and rightly so, to the men and women on the front lines so to speak of the virus.

We are very frustrated at the moment and would like to catch up on our spring cleanups and then onto regular maintenance.

Fighting for rationality - amidst these troubling times.
